Overview
Bridgecard is a FinTech platform that simplifies global payments by allowing users to manage multiple bank accounts with one debit card and a unified mobile app. The initial launch of its physical and virtual card, along with a mobile interface, led to $440,000 in pre-seed funding and rapid user adoption.
Role
As a Product Designer, I worked alongside a senior designer across all design phases, contributing to user research, UI/UX design, packaging, prototyping, and marketing. I was responsible for wireframes, website design, product copywriting, and helped launch the product to over 1,000 active users.
Challenge
Most Nigerians use multiple bank accounts and debit cards, leading to fragmented financial management. Users face high fees, poor customer service, limited international access, and security concerns. Traditional banking made it hard to track spending or resolve issues quickly.
Solution
We designed a secure mobile app and debit card that aggregate all bank accounts into a single, easy-to-use experience. Key features included:
Account and card linking with OTP verification
Expense tracking across all accounts
International transactions up to $10k/month
Instant card request, activation, and KYC verification
Intuitive onboarding and UI tailored for everyday use
The mobile app enabled users to manage funds across banks without switching apps or carrying multiple cards.
