Sparklean

take the dirty work off people’s hands so they can enjoy life in a calmer, healthier, more welcoming space

Overview

Sparklean is a residential and commercial cleaning company based in Birmingham, UK, offering same-day availability and a full range of cleaning services for homes and workplaces. The brand exists to “take the dirty work off your hands,” helping people feel calmer, healthier, and more at home in their spaces. The website positions Sparklean as a friendly, reliable, and detail‑driven partner that goes beyond basic tidying to create fresh, organised environments supported by strong social proof, clear service breakdowns, and straightforward calls to action.

Role

The project focused on translating Sparklean’s promise of care and convenience into a clear, conversion‑oriented website. The goal was to structure the content so visitors could quickly understand who Sparklean is, what they offer, and how to book. This included defining key sections such as the hero, About, Services, Our Work, Testimonials, FAQs, and Contact, while ensuring the tone felt warm, trustworthy, and service‑oriented. The result is a site that guides users from initial interest to enquiry or booking with minimal friction.

Challenge

The main challenge was presenting multiple cleaning services and audience types—homeowners, renters, and businesses—without overwhelming visitors or making the offering feel generic. The site needed to communicate reliability, professionalism, and thoroughness, while still feeling approachable and human. Another challenge was building trust quickly for a service that often requires clients to grant access to their homes or workplaces, which meant emphasising proof, reassurance, and clarity throughout the experience.

Solution

The solution was a structured, story‑driven layout that begins with a strong, benefits‑led hero (“Let’s Take the Dirty Work Off Your Hands”) and immediate social proof via a customer quote.

Features of the website:

  • Hero section with headline, subheading, “Same-Day Available” tag, and Book Now CTA

  • About us section with mission copy and “Why we clean” story

  • Service highlights tiles (Home Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Relocation Cleaning, Office Cleaning)

  • Stats/metrics section (years experience, skilled workmen, projects completed, client satisfaction)

  • Services section with detailed service list and descriptions

  • Our work / case studies section with project summaries and testimonials

  • Dedicated testimonials section with multiple client reviews and names

  • FAQs section with common questions and answers

  • Contact section with address, email, phone, and enquiry form

  • Special offer banner (25% off first clean) with prominent Book Now CTA

  • Footer with quick links, copyright, and credit

Our Process

01
Research & Analysis

This includes conducting user interviews and surveys, as well as analyzing usage data or in-app analytics to identify patterns and bottlenecks. Competitor offerings and industry trends are also reviewed to reveal best practices, feature gaps, and opportunities for differentiation.

02
Information Architecture

Insights from research inform the structure of the experience. Core user journeys are mapped out, key tasks are prioritized, and content is organized into clear sections and flows. The goal is to reduce cognitive load, make navigation intuitive, and ensure that users can quickly find and complete their most important actions.

03
Wireframing & Prototyping

The information architecture then translates into low-fidelity wireframes that explore different layout and interaction options. These wireframes evolve into interactive prototypes that simulate real tasks and scenarios.

04
Usability Testing

Usability testing involves observing real users as they attempt to complete key tasks using the prototypes. Their behaviors, questions, and mistakes reveal friction points and areas of confusion. Feedback from these sessions leads to improvements and a more seamless and intuitive experience.

05
Visual Design & Style Guide

Typography, color, spacing, iconography, and components are defined in a style guide or design system. This ensures consistency across screens and makes it easier for teams to extend and maintain the experience over time.
